We study the structural and mechanical properties of various soft-matter systems, like colloidal dispersions, polymer melts and solutions, and of (amorphous) solids. Methods from statistical mechanics and classical many body theory are applied to derive first principles descriptions especially of transport, structural, and mechanical processes.
